Dennis L. Quaintance, age 55, of Clintonville passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Care Partners Assisted Living, Appleton.
Dennis Lee Quaintance was born on May 7, 1963 in Kaukauna to Norman and Val (Tyler) Quaintance Sr. He grew up in the Clintonville area and graduated from Bowler High School in 1981. Dennis was united in marriage in 1989 to Barbara Ross at the courthouse in Waupaca and the couple was blessed with three children. He was employed as an assembler for a number of years at Lakeland Industries in Shawano.
Dennis was quite the athlete and enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics. He was a sprinter, ran the relay race, did hurdles, and bowled. He always liked spending time with family and taking part in whatever activities they did. Dennis was a pit crew member on an Ice Racing Team with other relatives. He also liked going to the demolition derby in Weyauwega with his brothers. Dennis had a heart of gold and was always helping others in need. Like volunteering at Ruby’s Pantry or shoveling snow for countless friends and neighbors. Dennis would often be seen around town picking up aluminum cans or just out walking his little dog.
Survivors include five children; Shanna (Gerry) Ott of Chilton, Ashley Quaintance of Clintonville, Dan (fiancé Destiny) Quaintance of Clintonville, Mary Quaintance of Clintonville, and Roger Ross of Hudson. There are ten grandchildren; Marie, Damien, Caleb, Mason, Eliza, Tyler, Annabelle, Zelda, Jason, and Nikki. There are six siblings; Cathy Quaintance of Appleton, Gordon (Valerie) of Clintonville, Randy (Carren) of Clintonville, Chris (Sara) of Bonduel, Terry (Julie) of Bear Creek, Tina (Jeremy) Durkey of Clintonville, and Carrie Tyler (cousin) of Clintonville who was like a sister. There are two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Quaintance of Clintonville and Becky Quaintance of New London; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Dawiedczyk of Appleton and Darryell Figlinski of Navarino. Dennis is further survived by two aunts, Doris Owen of Shawano and Barb Zehren of Bear Creek along with many other relatives and friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Crystal Quaintance; four sisters Candy Quaintance, Tammy Berry, Robin Dawiedczyk, and Susan “Sis” Figlinski; and two brothers Wesley “Butch” and Norman Jr.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 2nd at 4:00 PM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Pastor Gordon Oliver will officiate and inurnment will be in the spring at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
