The city of Clintonville unveiled its new Wastewater treatment plant yesterday in front of state representatives and the public. The original plant was erected in the 1930’s and was last upgraded in the 1980’s. David Tichinel the wastewater Manager explained why they got the upgrade done on the facility. The project began design in the fall of 2015 and construction started in 2017. The resulting wastewater treatment plant is deigned for more flexibility and easier operation. Operator safety was also improved through improved access to equipment and changes in chemicals for phosphorus.
