The Village of Hortonville has hired a new police chief. Kristine Brownson, 52, will begin as police chief on June 25th. The position has been vacant since May 2017, when former Police Chief Michael Sullivan resigned in the wake of a public spat with village officials that included a suspension and a forced reinstatement. Brownson has been the Shiocton police chief for the past five years. She’s quite familiar with he area though since she worked as a part-time officer for the Hortonville Police Department from 2002 to 2003 and lived in Hortonville for 25 years.
