A meeting was held on the water level issue this week at the Shawano County Courthouse. The DNR, and individuals from the Eagle Creek Dam, City of Shawano, Village of Cecil, Town of Wescott, Shawano County and SAWM attended, along with Senator Rob Cowles. The meeting went well and everyone in attendance agreed that he water should be returned to the previous higher target level. Shawano Lake and the Wolf River need to be raised but we are waiting on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to approve the change in the water level. However, SAWM employee Jeff Puissant said it could be a little time until they hear back from FERC. (Click play to hear more)
