Bill was born on June 11, 1927 in Shawano, a son of the late William and Jessie (Lake) Norton, Sr. Bill was a hard-working man, first farming with his family and neighbors, and then joining the Army to serve with honor in Korea before the conflict. When he returned from overseas, he kept working hard, hauling and delivering coal, constructing pole buildings, logging, and scrap recycling. He loved reminiscing about the old days, and kept scrapbooks of his favorite memories. His happiest moments were spent with family, and he had plenty of love for all.
Survivors include his son, John (Cynthia) Norton, Sr. of Shawano, his daughter, Darlene (Mike) Wendorff of Seymour, his daughter-in-law, Paula Hohn of Shawano, ten grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, including his goddaughter, Deborah Marquardt, and special niece, Brenda Koral. He will be rejoining his parents, William and Jessie Norton, Sr.; his son, Donald Norton; and his siblings, Iona Martin, Anna Marquardt, Marge Yeager, and Roger Norton.
