Seymour (2-1) at Shawano (2-2) – Live on Frog Country 92.3 FM
Shawano hopes to get back in the win column in a game that’s expected to have big playoff implications. The Hawks hung tough with Menasha through three quarters before the Blue Jays put the game out of reach in a 27-7 final. Quarterback Jarrett Laatsch holds a tie for the conference lead in rushing touchdowns with 11, but Roman Purull is the team’s leading rusher with 337 yards. How effective Shawano’s offense plays will likely indicate the game’s outcome. In their two wins, they’ve totaled 91 points, but were held to only a touchdown in the two games they’ve lost.
Meanwhile, Seymour tries to find a rhythm after dropping their last two, including a 25-24 heartbreaker against Xavier last week. Devin VerVoort leads the conference with 823 passing yards, averaging 205 per game. His nine touchdowns are second best, finding his favorite target Josh Krause for five of them, which is tied for the best in conference.
