
Ardyce V. Galleske, age 85 of Shawano, passed away early Thursday morning, May 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Ardyce was born on December 24, 1931 in Shawano, a daughter of the late David and Bernice (Huebner) Huebner. She attended Shawano schools, graduating from Shawano High School in 1949. On June 2, 1951 she was united in marriage to Raymond H. Galleske at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. The couple lived in Shawano their entire married life. Ardyce was employed at Schultz Brothers store in Shawano until she and Ray started their family. She then stayed home to raise her children.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano. Ardyce was an avid gardener, and truly had a green thumb when it came to keeping plants alive. In her spare time she enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, cleaning her spotless home, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Bruce (Julie) Galleske, Barry (Laurie) Galleske, Beth (Robert) Zemple, Brad (Traci) Galleske, and Brent (Ann) Galleske, all of Shawano; her grandchildren, Sarah, Jenny, Paul, Gregory, Rebecca, Joshua, Sean, Ashley Z., Ashley J., Jasmine, Hunter, Kyle, Dustin, Jacob, Travis (Erica); her great-grandchildren, Lillia, Abbigail, Naomi, EmmaRay, Alex, Cody, Drake, Macy, Tia, Trey, Sean, and a future great-granddaughter; her great-great-granddaughter, Gracie; her siblings, Joan (Edward) Dammier, David (Sandra) Huebner, Betty (Lee) Much, Beverly (Owen) Muthig, Diane Hayer, and Darwin (Pat) Huebner; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Ardyce was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, Brian Galleske; her daughter, Brenda Sorenson; her grandson, Adam Rymer; her brothers, Melvin (Elaine) Huebner, Duane Huebner, and Ronald Huebner; her sister, Lorraine Anker; and her brother-in-law, Robert Hayer.
Funeral services for Ardyce V. Galleske will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano. Pastor Ted Andrada will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
