
Beatrice A. “Beattie/Bea” Bohm, age 89 of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2017 in Shawano.
Beattie was born December 31, 1927 in Shawano, a daughter of the late Herman and Linda (Hacker) Singer. She was employed at the canning factory and as a housekeeper prior to her marriage to Willard Bohm on May 10, 1946. The couple was married at Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano, and lived in Shawano their entire married life. Bea was employed at Wrights Broiler Company, Jolens Manufacturing, Weber Plywood & Veneer, the Shawano Evening Leader, and later at Bohm Builders.
She attended Peace United Church of Christ for many years. She was a great cook and homemaker. Beattie loved gardening, canning, playing cards, attending sporting events and activities for her children and grandchildren. She liked to take walks and ride her bike. She was always up for attending birthdays and special occasions at the farm. Bea was instrumental in all wild game processing during hunting season. She loved to watch the Green Bay Packer games on television.
Beattie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Willard H. Bohm of Shawano; her children, Randall (Mary) Bohm of Shawano, Sherry Hoffman of Green Bay, and Daniel “Bullet” (Patricia) Bohm of Shawano; her grandchildren, Patrick (Katie Pecha) Bohm, Jackson (Susan) Hoffman, Chris (Tricia Zempel) Bohm, Taylor Bohm and Maggie Bohm; great-grandchildren, Joshua (Vaughn) Bohm, Erik Bohm, Barret Bohm, Elena Bohm and Griffin Bohm; and many nieces and nephews. Beattie was preceded in death by her sisters, Mable Gruetzmacher, Cecilia Rosenthal, Hildegard Beyer, Mary Bohm, Inez Schroeder, and Sally Weingarden; and her brothers, Arnie, Alvin, Ervin, Eddie, and Lester Singer.
Funeral services for Beatrice A. Bohm will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano. Pastor Marty Black will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring. Relatives and friends may call at Peace Church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Memorials are preferred in her name to Peace United Church of Christ.
