Nancey J. (Hoffmann) Hansen, age 66 of Caroline, passed away Friday evening, February 24, 2017 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass.
Nancey was born in Shawano on February 25, 1950 to the late John and Ida (Beske) Hoffmann – Westphal. Nancey’s father passed away when she was a toddler and her mother remarried Ervin Westphal whom Nancey always called “Dad”. Nancey was baptized, confirmed, and later married at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1968. Nancey married Lynn Hansen on October 29, 1977 and after marriage became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant, Shawano County where she has been a member since. Nancey was a stay at home mom until her daughter started school and she began working at Mills Fleet Farm in Clintonville until her retirement. Nancey was the first woman member of the Caroline Lions Club where she enjoyed helping with the Colorama. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds.

Daughter: Lisa (Brian) Schultz.
Grandson: Logan Schultz.
Brother: Richard (Donna) Hoffmann.
Sisters-in-law: Barb (Ron) Much, Rozanne (Pat) Robenhagen, & Diane (friend; Bruce) McIntyre.
Brothers-in-law: Jim (Carla) Hansen, Jerry (Colleen) Hansen, & Larry (Carol) Westphal.
Also numerous nieces & nephews.
Nancey was preceded in death by her parents: John, Ida & Ervin; a brother William (Carol) Hoffmann; Mother-in-law & Father-in-law: Edwin & Gertrude Westphal; and brothers-in-law: Delmar Westphal & Wally McIntyre.
A memorial service will be held for Nancey on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Grant, Shawano County with Rev. Dean Suehring officiating. Inurnment will take place at the church cemetery later in spring. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
