Pella Fire was dispatched to a house fire, shortly after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. The home, located on Midway Ct. near Riverbank and Rangeline Rd, was fully engulfed by the flames.
Pella called for assistance from Grant, Shawano, Gresham, Bowler, and Clintonville Fire Departments, as they fought the fire. The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department was also at the scene.
The house was extensively damaged from the burn, as crews were on-scene for about three hours.
“The cause is undetermined,” said Pella Fire Chief Brain Westfahl. “Ultimately with a house like that that’s fully engulfed, there was not much to go through. When we arrived on-scene, we had to use a backhoe basically to peel things apart. There was actually a woodshed that was located on the backside of the residence, which was piled full of wood. We had to tear that all apart to get all the hot spots and that’s knocked down.”
No one was injured from the fire.
